About Doc Donki
Dr. Scott (Doc Donki) lives life in it’s fullest - specifically, how the small everyday choices shape not just our physical health but our peace, joy, and capacity to love. Dr. Scott Moore, DO is a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physician and the Wellness Medical Advisor for BottomsDown Chair Yoga. He ensures that all Bottoms Down Wellness content is grounded in evidence-based medical practice and research.
From Little League baseball to soccer to cycling racing to running the Boston Marathon to competing in an actual Iron Man Marathon in California, Scott has always overachieved in physical activities. He also has a passion for music as in college his music group competed in the “Battle of the Bands” in Utah and came in second only to… “Imagine Dragons”.
Scott’s passion for lifestyle medicine was forged through lived experience. Before medical school, Scott graduated with a BS in German and spent two formative years serving a mission in Germany and Austria. During that time his lack of exercise and love of the local food caused him to gain 40 pounds in 18 months. Yet he recovered with regular movement combined with a proper whole food diet.
During medical school, while serving in the United States Air Force, Scott was struck by a car when riding his bicycle. He suffered a serious TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). After days in a coma and two years of rehab he returned to medical school and graduated. Throughout all the trauma of recovery, Scott gained a profound appreciation for how movement, nutrition, rest, and mindset work together to support healing. That experience cemented Scott’s belief that lifestyle is not just a side note to health - it is the foundation.
Now as a physician trained to understand human physiology, pathology, and disease prevention, Scott’s personal experience reinforces what the science shows, that the body is remarkably resilient when given the right inputs.
Scott is inspired by his wife and three children, who remind him daily why health matters - not simply for longevity, but for presence, peace, joy, and connection. They inspire him to live the principles he shares with patients and with the BottomsDown community: that caring for our bodies is an act of love, and that sustainable movement - especially accessible practices like chair yoga - creates a foundation for lifelong health.
Scott believes movement should meet people where they are, honor their bodies, and invite them into healing with compassion rather than pressure. Chair yoga embodies this philosophy beautifully. As a physician and medical advisor, Dr Scott helps people feel confident, safe, and empowered as they move toward better health—no matter their age, mobility, or starting point.
