About Mickey (Nerdi)
A fifth-generation native of Colorado, Mickey is a lifelong “geek” and “serial entrepreneur” who spent more than 50 years in business management, information technology, and software development. Upon retirement, he embraced a new chapter, bringing his skills and creativity to Bottoms Down, where he produces professional digital chair yoga videos designed to make yoga truly accessible for real people, anytime and anywhere.
As the co-creator of Bottoms Down, Mickey built Donki Studios from an iPad on a music stand into a full-scale, multi-camera production studio using Hollywood-grade tools. His passion for innovation ensures that Bottoms Down classes stream beautifully in your living room, helping turn home into a safe, supportive wellness space.
Beyond the studio, Mickey manages a mountain retreat for family and friends and follows his love of sailing. As a certified bareboat sailing charter captain, he and Carol have enjoyed sailing adventures around San Diego, the British Virgin Islands, across the Aegean Sea, and throughout the South Pacific from Tahiti to New Caledonia.
For Mickey, retirement is about passion with purpose. He feels deeply fortunate to be part of creating lifestyle wellness programs that help people everywhere find freedom to move, on their own terms.
Bottoms Down and Donki Studios are proud to be instrumental in supporting our local school district's efforts in providing workplace learning and internship opportunities for a number of area high school students.
These talented young learners assist us with video recording, post production, website design and social media management. We are so very proud to be a part of their career development efforts.
