Yoga for Tension Relief - More Seated, Some Standing. In today’s practice, we’ll explore poses that help reduce tension and relieve stress including extended mountain pose. You’ll only need a chair for today’s class. Welcome to Bottoms Down Chair Yoga. I’m Carol and I’m happy you’ve chosen to spend this time together with me warming up to stretch, lengthen and strengthen your body. This 30 minute yoga practice includes poses that focus on reducing stress and tension. We often hold tension in our head, neck, shoulders and hips so we’ll focus on poses in these areas. We warm up gently and center our work on our breath and mindful movements to build strength and focus mindfully. You’ll only need a chair.
